Well, I'm a little bit bitter.

I can never figure out how the media can get away with calling Obama an out-of-touch elitist. Of all the remaining candidates, he’s got the least personal wealth, the least cushioned upbringing, overcome the most socio-economic barriers, spent the most time physically organizing and motivating marginalized communities in recent years, and didn’t depend on anyone else’s connections or money to get him where he is today. I can’t find anything in his personal history or world-view that would qualify him as an out-of-touch elitist. Anyone willing to take a good, hard honest look at him would undoubtedly reach the same conclusion.

Nobody is going to stop supporting Obama unless they themselves do feel he is elitist. As long as they can figure him out for themselves, they are not going to fall for this petty name-calling!

This is one of the things that really boosted my energy and creativity. Instead of wanting to do everything in a day, I made a list of the things that were really important to me. Then I compared that list to the things that I would do during a day: check my emails every hour, check my site statistics, surfing the web for new creations, answering phone calls, answering emails…. It became clear to me that I was wasting a lot of time on stuff that were not on the list of stuff that I wanted to do. After that I started asking myself questions about all these activities. Did I really need to do them? Did I have to do them instantly? Did I have to do them so frequently?

Did you really have to make the list?? =P Kidding! This is a good idea!

Serious question

topherchris:

Does LinkedIn actually have the capacity to improve one’s career, or is it really just MySpace for Old People Who Feel Left Out of the Whole Social Interweb Thing?

It is a nice place to show off your professional capabilities. People on Myspace are only interested in some crappy details about you. At least, this site gives you some seriousness about your career!

Inflatable Toast Mattress - Archie McPhee
FINALLY!!! My prayers have been answered!!

In response to this I post a quote that I had earlier posted on my tumblr.“Last night I dreamed I ate a ten-pound marshmallow, and when I woke up the pillow was gone.“ — Tommy Cooper
